Doha: The Ministry of Social Development and Family (MSDF) in collaboration with the Social and Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM), the Family Consulting Center (Wifaq) and Tarbeya Center, inaugurated the National Program to Qualify Certified Trainers within First Year Marriage Program, which aims to strengthen the early self-awareness, familial values, prepare those who are about to marry from both genders and create a tight-knit marital relationship.
The First Year Marriage Program primarily targets higher secondary school and college students, young people from both genders who are about to marry, emerging families, newlyweds, married couples wishing to promote their marital lives, as well as parents who seek to impart knowledge to their children, the MSDF stated.
It pointed out that the project intends to stabilize the emerging families and help newlyweds adapt to marital life through imbuing them with the expertisen that hone their skills in selection and marital communication, in addition to strengtheni
ng awareness on how to address potential life challenges.
On this occasion, Director of the Family Development Department at MoSDF Dhabiya Al Muqbali affirmed that the adoption of the First Year Marriage Program stems from the MSDF-led role to achieve the principles of Qatar National Vision 2030 which underscore the importance of maintaining a tight-knit family, in addition to realizing the MSDF’s mission in raising the awareness on the significance of solidifying familial cohesion, in pursuit of offering practical projects that bolster self-awareness.
