Dakhla: The 13th Dakhla International Film Festival in Morocco is set to begin from June 14-20, featuring a diverse lineup of local, Arab, and international filmmakers.
According to Qatar News Agency, the festival’s organizing committee has announced that this year’s edition will showcase 18 feature-length and short films competing in the official competitions. These films will come from various Arab, African, and European countries, alongside entries from Morocco, the host nation. The event will also host panels, artistic meetings, and workshops designed to support emerging talents in the film industry.
The jury for the feature film competition will be led by Director Dani Kouyate. The panel will include Saudi director Reem Al Bayat, Moroccan actress Nadia Kounda, French director Gael Morel, and Palestinian director Rashid Masharawi. For the short film competition, Egyptian film critic Ahmed Shawky will head the jury, which also includes Moroccan actress Sahar Seddiki and Ivorian actress Lauren Koffi.
