Moroccan Striker Youssef El Arabi Joins FC Nantes for 2025-2026 Season

Nantes: French club FC Nantes officially announced Saturday the signing of Moroccan forward Youssef El Arabi to join its first football team for the 2025-2026 season.

According to Qatar News Agency, the contract with the player spans one year, with an option to extend for an additional season. Expressing his excitement in statements to the club's website, El Arabi said he was pleased to return to France's top-flight league, describing his new chapter as a true challenge with a prestigious club that holds great heritage and history.

El Arabi added he will give his utmost to contribute and help the team. The 38-year-old Moroccan began his professional journey in France's Ligue 1 with SM Caen in 2009 before embarking on several international stints, most notably with Qatar's Al Duhail SC from 2016 to 2019, where he played 83 matches.

Last season, El Arabi featured for APOEL Nicosia in Cyprus, appearing in 45 matches across all competitions, scoring 14 goals and delivering 7 assists.
