Doha: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced the temporary closure of a dental unit in a private sector health center. This action includes the suspension of professional licenses for several health practitioners who were found to be working outside their defined scope of practice, in violation of Law No. (2) of 1983 regarding the practice of the professions of medicine, dentistry, and surgery, as well as the regulations and policies governing professional licenses.
According to Qatar News Agency, legal actions are being pursued against the facility and the health practitioners involved in these regulatory violations. This move is part of the control procedures carried out by the Department of Health Professions.
The MoPH emphasizes the necessity for all health facilities in the country to adhere to the approved laws, regulations, and standards. This adherence is crucial to ensuring patient safety and maintaining the quality of services provided.
