Doha: The Establishments and Authorities Security Department at the Ministry of Interior (MoI) organized a forum on Monday to discuss the integration of security and organizational roles within the Qatar Football League. The event brought together specialists in sports security and organization, alongside representatives from the Qatar Stars League, clubs, and partner entities.
According to Qatar News Agency, Major Saeed Jumaa Al Hitmi, Acting Head of the Sports Security Section, highlighted the forum's significance in promoting enhanced collaboration and coordinated efforts between security and organizational bodies. This initiative aims to ensure the success of sporting events by providing a secure environment that aligns with fans' expectations and supports the objectives of sports institutions in Qatar. Al Hitmi emphasized that success stems from the integration of security personnel, organizing committees, and relevant authorities, rather than planning alone. The forum featured an open dialogue session to facilitate the exchange of experiences and review of best practices.
Hassan Rabia Al Kuwari, Executive Director of Sales, Marketing, and Communications at the Qatar Stars League, underscored the forum's role in fostering cooperation between the league, the Sports Security Department, clubs, and partners. He noted the significant improvements in coordination mechanisms over recent seasons and expressed hopes for continued meetings to address challenges, explore solutions, and generate innovative ideas. Al Kuwari highlighted the forum's potential to elevate the organization level and enhance the Qatari league's image both regionally and internationally.
The forum's program included a visual presentation of key events for the 2024-2025 football season, followed by two dialogue sessions that addressed best practices and challenges. The event concluded with the presentation of final recommendations and the honoring of participants.
