Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI) issued a circular to factory owners and commercial establishments regarding electronic integration and the registration of stock quantities, sales, and services, as part of efforts to enhance market oversight efficiency and further develop the electronic monitoring system.
According to Qatar News Agency, the circular aims to improve market oversight and advance the electronic monitoring system. MOCI stated that it includes procedures for electronic integration with the Ministry through an ERP system or its equivalent, continuous inventory registration, and the provision and immediate updating of required data upon any change.
The circular also highlighted that failure to electronically link with the Ministry, tampering with documents or records (whether paper or electronic), refusing to submit required documents, or providing false information constitutes a violation under the provisions of Law No. (12) of 1972 on price controls and profit margins and its amendments.
MOCI urged all factory and commercial establishment owners to comply with the provisions of this circular to avoid legal action, noting that the circular is effective from the date of its issuance.
