MOCI Conducts Patent Drafting Training Program


Doha: The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MOCI), in cooperation with the GCC Intellectual Property Training Center, held a training program on drafting patents on November 17 and 18. The event saw participation from specialists, innovators, researchers, and individuals interested in the field of intellectual property.



According to Qatar News Agency, the program aimed to develop participants’ skills in drafting patent applications in accordance with international legal and technical standards. This initiative is part of the MOCI-GCC Intellectual Property Training Center cooperation, which seeks to strengthen national capacities and support the innovation and knowledge ecosystem to advance intellectual property and enhance its mechanisms.



The training covered practical topics such as the requirements for granting a patent, standards of professional drafting, and mechanisms for protecting innovations both nationally and internationally. Participants also engaged in discussions of practical models to help them effectively handle the procedures for submitting patent applications.
