Doha: The Ministry of Municipality has intensified its efforts in the areas of general and technical health inspection during the second quarter of 2025, resulting in the detection of a number of violations and the closure of non-compliant food establishments. The ministry also implemented effective campaigns to combat insects and rodents, improving customer service, and expediting advertising license issuance procedures. This is part of the Ministry of Municipality's commitment to enhancing community safety and improving service quality.
According to Qatar News Agency, inspection teams conducted 85,284 inspection tours in the field of health inspection of food establishments, 39,486 tours in the field of general inspection, and 29,287 tours in the field of technical inspection during this period. These tours resulted in the issuance of 8,466 violations and the closure of 27 violating food establishments.
Pest control teams also handled 59,136 requests for pest and rodent control, while the relevant authorities received 9,964 customer service requests and processed 17,217 advertising license applications.
