Umm Salal: The Ministry of Municipality and Hassad Food Company are set to organize an exhibition focusing on dates and Ramadan supplies. This event will mark the conclusion of the first edition of the Umm Salal Winter Festival, taking place at the Umm Salal Central Market from February 25 to March 1.

According to Qatar News Agency, the exhibition will feature a wide range of date varieties along with complementary products such as perfumes and Ramadan table supplies. The aim is to cater to consumer needs in anticipation of the holy month of Ramadan, with a particular emphasis on dates as the centerpiece of the event.

Yousef Khalid Al Khulaifi, Director of the Agricultural Affairs Department at the Ministry of Municipality, highlighted that the exhibition will include various activities during the festival. These activities are designed to showcase local agricultural products and enhance their visibility to consumers. He noted that the timing of the event aligns with preparations for Ramadan, underscoring the ministry's commitment to supporting the agricultural sector and fulfilling the needs of the local community.

Mohammed Ghanem Al Kubaisi, General Manager of Aswaq for Food Facilities Management Company, emphasized the exhibition's support for national products, particularly dates, which hold significant cultural importance in Qatar. He mentioned that throughout the Umm Salal Winter Festival, Aswaq has been instrumental in providing marketing platforms for local farmers and producers, ensuring their products reach the local market effectively.

The first edition of the Umm Salal Winter Festival has successfully hosted six specialized exhibitions aimed at promoting local products.
