Doha: The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change announced that around 350 camps had been registered in the Central Region between October 1 and 4, as part of Qatar's winter camping season 2025-2026.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Ministry stated that the registered sites included land areas such as Rawdat Rashid, Rawdat Aisha, and Umm Al Azam Road, along with marine areas in South Al Kharaij and Abu Samra. Camps were also set up in the protected coastal area of Zekreet. The registration process was carried out smoothly in accordance with the approved regulatory and environmental procedures.
In the same context, the Winter Camping Affairs Regulatory Committee continues to receive registration applications for camping sites in the southern regions until next Wednesday. These areas include Al Naqyan, Al Kharrara, and Mekaines in the land areas, and Sealine and Al Udaid within the nature reserves.
The Ministry confirmed that it will reopen registration for available sites from October 15 to November 15, urging all campers to adhere to the approved environmental regulations and guidelines to ensure a safe and sustainable camping season that preserves the integrity of Qatar's environment.
