Minister of State for International Cooperation Engages in Talks with UN Deputy Special Representative for Afghanistan


Doha: HE Minister of State for International Cooperation, Dr. Mariam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, engaged in talks with HE Deputy Special Representative of the UN Secretary-General for Afghanistan and Resident Coordinator for Humanitarian Affairs, Nderika Ratwathe, who is currently visiting the country. During the meeting, they examined the cooperation between Qatar and the United Nations, focusing on ways to support and strengthen it, particularly in the humanitarian and development fields in Afghanistan.



According to Qatar News Agency, HE Minister of State for International Cooperation emphasized that Doha would continue to serve as a platform for dialogue and as a logistical, political, and humanitarian partner for the United Nations in facilitating its missions in Afghanistan. She reiterated Qatar’s commitment to supporting the Afghan people, highlighting the importance of sustained international efforts to provide urgent humanitarian aid and bolster the health, education, and economic empowerment sectors in Afghanistan.
