Doha: HE Minister of State for Foreign Trade at the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sayed met with HE Minister of Economy and Energy of the Federal Republic of Germany Katherina Reiche, along with her delegation, who are visiting the country.

According to Qatar News Agency, Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Sayed highlighted that Qatar and Germany maintain close relations characterized by mutual trust, respect, and shared strategic interests in fields such as industry, trade, technology, and investment. He emphasized that Germany is a significant economic partner for Qatar in Europe.

The meeting was seen as an opportunity to enhance efforts to expand trade exchange and develop cooperation between the private sectors of both nations. The participation of selected Qatari and German companies was noted as a commitment to exploring new opportunities and building sustainable economic partnerships.

Discussions also covered topics of mutual interest aimed at strengthening cooperation in trade and investment. The ministers witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding between Qatari company Aamal and German Niedax group. This agreement focuses on exploring the establishment of a production line for glass fiber reinforced plastics in Qatar.
