Doha: HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz bin Saleh Al Khulaifi held a phone call with HE Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Lebanon Dr. Tarek Mitri to discuss bilateral relations and recent developments in Lebanon.

According to Qatar News Agency, the conversation focused on enhancing cooperation between the two nations and addressing the ongoing situation in Lebanon. The Minister expressed Qatar's strong condemnation of Israeli attacks on Lebanon, citing these actions as violations of Lebanese sovereignty and international law. He labeled the situation as a dangerous escalation affecting regional security and stability.

The Minister emphasized the need for an immediate cessation of Israeli hostilities, urging adherence to the ceasefire agreement and the implementation of UN Security Council Resolution No. 1701. He called on the international community to take a firm stand against the violations and to respect Lebanon's sovereignty and territorial integrity.

Reaffirming Qatar's commitment, the Minister reiterated the nation's supportive stance towards Lebanon and assured continued support for the Lebanese people.
