Cairo: HE Minister of Labour Dr. Ali bin Samikh Al Marri took part in the 102nd session of the Arab Labour Organization’s (ALO) Board of Directors, convened in Cairo, Egypt, engaging in discussions alongside representatives from governments, employers, and workers from across Arab countries. The gathering adhered to the principle of tripartite representation and was attended by several pertinent Arab and regional organizations.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Board addressed several significant issues, including the follow-up on resolutions from its 101st session, a comprehensive report on the conditions of Palestinian workers and citizens in occupied Arab territories, and the results of the 115th session of the Economic and Social Council. The meeting also involved reviewing the proposed agenda for the 52nd Arab Labour Conference, slated for 2026.

The discussions extended to cover Arab participation in the upcoming 113th session of the International Labour Conference in Geneva this June. This participation aims to harmonize Arab positions within the International Labour Organization (ILO), ensuring a unified voice on the international stage.
