Istanbul: HE Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari held discussions with HE Minister of Finance of the People's Republic of China Lan Fo'an and Managing Director of the International Monetary Fund Kristalina Georgieva on the sidelines of the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank Group (WBG) from April 13-18, 2026.

According to Qatar News Agency, the meeting focused on a range of financial and economic issues, as well as current regional and international developments. Key topics included challenges related to mutual interests between the State of Qatar, the People's Republic of China, and the IMF.
