Minister of Commerce, Industry Opens Build Your House 2023 Exhibition

HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al Abdullah Al-Thani on Monday Opened the Build Your House (BYH) 2023 Exhibition at Qatar National Conventions Centre (QNCC), in presence of HE Qatar Chamber Chairman Sheikh Khalifa bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani and lineup of Qatari and international business people.

Following the opening, HE the Minister toured the exhibition and received briefing on the top displays of local and international exhibitors, who represent besides the State of Qatar, Canada, Iran, Italy, Oman, UK, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, Belgium, China, Algeria, India, Jordan and Turkey.

BYH 2023 sees a 50 percent increase over the previous edition, in terms of exhibition area. 250 exhibitors are participating in the event, working in the housing, design, and construction fields.

HE Qatar Chamber Chairman said in remarks that the BYH 2023 is an excellent opportunity for Qatari citizens to get in touch with companies specialized in building, equipping and renovating houses.

He added that the exhibition also provides an opportunity for local companies to enhance their growth and development in the local market, and exchange experiences and services with the participating companies, especially in the presence of exhibitors from other countries, noting that the Chamber was keen to support the exhibition in the context of its support for the exhibition sector in the country.

Build Your House exhibition contributes to the growth and strengthening of the construction sector in Qatar, which has made great achievements, especially during the period leading up to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, His Excellency said expecting the performance of the construction sector to continue at the same pace within the framework of the state’s efforts to realize its National Vision 2030.

He pointed out that this exhibition offers a variety of services and products provided by a number of consultants, contractors and suppliers in the construction sector, which enhances cooperation and communication between local and foreign companies on one hand, and between suppliers and contractors on the other.
