Military Forces Eliminate 23 Militants in Northwest Pakistan Operations

Doha: The military forces conducted two operations based on intelligence information that pinpointed the movements of militants in the Bajaur and Bannu districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in northwestern Pakistan, the Pakistani military announced in a statement on Wednesday. The statement affirmed that the operations resulted in taking out 23 militants affiliated with groups it designated as proscribed.

According to Qatar News Agency, on Tuesday, the military announced that 15 militants had been taken out in two separate operations conducted by its forces in the same district, which has been plagued by bloody confrontations between security and military personnel on one side and anti-Islamabad authorities groups on the other.
