MIKATI TO INAUGURATE ARAB BANKS UNION CONFERENCE IN BEIRUT UPCOMING THURSDAY, WITH MORE THAN 400 LEBANESE & ARAB FIGURES PARTICIPATING

Caretaker Prime Minister Najib Mikati, with the participation of Acting Governor of the Central Bank of Lebanon, Wassim Mansouri, and the presence of 400 Lebanese and Arab figures, including financiers, bankers, and investors, will inaugurate the conference on ‘Arab Economic Security in light of Geopolitical Changes’ at 9:30 am next Thursday at the Phoenicia Hotel in Beirut.

The two-day conference is organized by the Union of Arab Banks, in cooperation with the International Union of Bankers. It aims to provide Arab investors with a unique platform to explore promising investment opportunities in Lebanon and learn closely about the potential of these investments that may contribute to achieving economic development and stability, especially in terms of investing in productive sectors.

The conference includes five working sessions that will focus on 1- Economic security: impact of geopolitical changes and disturbances in our Arab region on the economic sectors and banking financing; 2- Economic reforms: stru
ctural reforms required in light of instability; 3- Cybersecurity and its impact on Arab economies; 4- Current banking and monetary conditions in Lebanon; 5- Economic reality in Lebanon more than four years after the crises outbreak.
