Meteorology Department Warns of Strong Wind and High Sea

Doha: Weather inshore until 6:00 pm on Thursday is predicted to be moderate with slight dust to blowing dust during the daytime, transitioning to mild to relatively cold conditions in some areas by night. A warning has been issued for strong wind conditions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the offshore weather will remain fine, though there is a warning for strong winds and high seas. Inshore winds are expected to be northwesterly at speeds of 10 to 20 knots, with gusts reaching up to 28 knots in certain areas during the day. Offshore, the northwesterly winds will be stronger, blowing at 15 to 23 knots and occasionally gusting to 30 knots.

The sea state inshore will range between 3 and 5 feet, while offshore conditions will range between 4 and 7 feet, with the potential to rise to 10 feet at times. Inshore visibility is anticipated to range between 4 and 10 kilometers, occasionally dropping to 3 kilometers or less in some areas. Offshore visibility is expected to be between 4 and 7 kilometers, with occasional rises to 10 feet.
