Doha: Meta has officially announced the availability of Arabic language support within its intelligent assistant, Meta AI. This development allows millions of users in the Middle East and North Africa to interact with the AI in their native language, as detailed in a statement published by the company on its official website.
According to Qatar News Agency, Meta AI is now accessible in several countries, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, Algeria, Iraq, Jordan, Libya, Morocco, Tunisia, and Yemen, with official support for the Arabic language. The company is set to gradually expand the rollout of its intelligent assistant to other Arab nations in the coming weeks and months.
Meta affirmed that its AI is now operational in 42 countries and supports 13 languages, catering to 700 million users across its various applications. Users can easily engage with the virtual assistant by typing @Meta AI in chats on Instagram, WhatsApp, and Messenger to seek suggestions or get answers to their queries.
The company has further plans to introduce additional AI tools, including the Imagine Me feature, which generates personalized portraits, and simultaneous dubbing tools for short Reels videos on Instagram and Facebook. Additionally, Meta's official Arabic Facebook page will offer an educational series to guide users on crafting effective prompts, enhancing their ability to leverage AI for personal and professional tasks.
