Mont-de-marsan: Marakez Al Shahania (FR), a 3-year-old filly owned and bred by HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al-Thani under the banner of Al Shahania Stud, captured her maiden victory on French soil with a win in the Dahman Stakes for 3-year-old Purebred Arabians at Mont-de-Marsan over 2150 metres. Displaying a marked improvement, the filly delivered a powerful performance under the guidance of trainer Francois Rohaut and a well-judged ride from jockey Mathias Lauron, securing victory by a narrow neck.
According to Qatar News Agency, El Bnoud (FR), representing Al Shaqab Racing, took second place after a strong showing that kept this racer in contention until the final strides. Bnoud is trained by X. Thomas-Demeaulte and was ridden by Guillaume Guedj Gay. Fardows (FR), owned by Yas Horse Racing Management, settled for third place without posing a direct threat to the leaders. It was trained by Francisco Sanchez and ridden by Mathieu Forest.
