"For the first time, ASEAN, the GCC, and China come together in this unique configuration - three partners, each rich in history, civilization, culture, and shared aspirations - gather to open a new chapter of dialogue and cooperation," Ibrahim said in his opening remarks at the summit on Tuesday.

According to Qatar News Agency, Ibrahim underscored the Gulf Cooperation Council's significance as a hub of financial strength, digital innovation, and artificial intelligence, noting that energy continues to serve as a fundamental driver of the region's economies. The Malaysian premier also praised China's remarkable transformation and growing global influence, highlighting its achievements in poverty alleviation, economic development, digitalization, and artificial intelligence as truly exceptional.
