Lilongwe: HE Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Malawi Nancy Tembo received on Monday a copy of the credentials of HE Fahad Rashid Al Muraikhi as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Qatar (non-resident) to the Republic of Malawi. According to Qatar News Agency, the official ceremony took place as part of the formal diplomatic processes to establish and strengthen the bilateral relations between Malawi and Qatar. HE Fahad Rashid Al Muraikhi, in his new role, will be responsible for enhancing diplomatic ties, fostering economic partnerships, and exploring opportunities for collaboration in various sectors between the two nations. The presentation of credentials is a significant diplomatic formality, marking the beginning of the ambassador's duties in the host country. As a non-resident ambassador, HE Al Muraikhi will manage his duties from a neighboring country but will continue to engage with Malawian officials to further mutual interests. Both countries have expressed a commitment to bolster their relations, focusing on areas such as trade, investment, and cultural exchange. The appointment of HE Al Muraikhi is seen as a step towards deeper collaboration and understanding between Qatar and Malawi, building on the existing framework of international cooperation.
