Marsa matrouh: An earthquake measuring 5.77 on the Richter scale struck north of the city of Marsa Matrouh in northern Egypt on Friday.
According to Qatar News Agency, Egypt's National Research Institute of Astronomy and Geophysics released a statement indicating that the earthquake occurred 412 kilometers north of Marsa Matrouh at a depth of 26.85 kilometers. The institute confirmed that there have been no casualties or material damage reported.
