Lebanese Prime Minister and Palestinian President Discuss Developments in Palestinian Territories

Beirut: Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam discussed Thursday the latest developments in the occupied Palestinian territories with Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, who is visiting Beirut.

According to Qatar News Agency, during the meeting, President Abbas briefed Salam on the ongoing challenges in the region, including the war, the siege, and the starvation policies pursued by the Israeli occupation in the Gaza Strip. Abbas also highlighted the continued Israeli aggression and settlement expansion in the West Bank, including occupied Jerusalem. He emphasized his respect for Lebanon's unity and territorial integrity.

Additionally, the two leaders agreed to establish a joint committee aimed at strengthening bilateral relations and improving the living conditions of Palestinian refugees residing in Lebanon. This initiative reflects a mutual commitment to addressing the pressing issues faced by the Palestinian community in Lebanon.
