Beirut: Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun met on Tuesday with the United Nations Special Coordinator for Lebanon Jeanine Hennis-Plasschaert and discussed the general situation in the country, particularly in the south, in light of the continued Israeli attacks on southern towns.

According to Qatar News Agency, Plasschaert emphasized that the UN is closely monitoring the situation in the south and continuing efforts to consecrate stability and security there.
