Lebanese President Calls for Full Energized Global Efforts to Cease Israeli Assaults on Lebanon

Doha: Lebanese President General Joseph Aoun on Sunday appealed with the international community to energize all efforts to halt Israel's breaches against Lebanon. While the Lebanese delegation is in New York to discuss peace and human rights issues, Israel persists in its non-stop violations of international resolutions, foremost of which is the accord to cease hostilities through committing a new massacre in Bint Jbeil in southern Lebanon, which killed five persons, including three children, Aoun said in a statement issued by the Lebanese Presidency.

According to Qatar News Agency, Aoun, who is in New York to participate in the 80th session of the United Nations General Assembly on Monday, urged the international leaders in the UN corridors to step up all efforts to stop the violations of international resolutions, particularly the endorsing nations of the Nov. 27, 2024, declaration, to ramp up pressure on Israel to pull out from Lebanese territories and uphold the aforementioned declaration.

Earlier today, the Public Health Emergency Operations Center (PHEOC) of Lebanon's Ministry of Health reported that five people, including three children, were killed in a raid launched by an Israeli drone on Bint Jbeil city in southern Lebanon.
