Leaders of Egypt, Jordan, and France Discuss Ceasefire in Gaza with US President

Cairo: The leaders of Egypt, France, and Jordan engaged in a joint phone call with US President Donald Trump during a tripartite summit in Cairo on April 7, 2025. The discussion centered around formulating strategies to ensure an urgent ceasefire in the Gaza Strip, according to Egypt's Presidency. The conversation underscored the necessity of resuming full access to humanitarian aid and the immediate release of all hostages and detainees.

According to Qatar News Agency, the leaders highlighted the significance of fostering conditions that would pave the way for a genuine political resolution. They discussed mobilizing international efforts to alleviate the plight of the Palestinian people, restore security and peace, and implement the two-state solution. The leaders and President Trump agreed to maintain close contact to further these objectives.

Additionally, the call addressed the urgency of advancing peace efforts in Ukraine in line with international law, emphasizing the mutual need for global security and stability.
