Landslide Leaves 7 Missing in South China

Guangzhou: A rain-triggered landslide left seven people missing in Guangzhou, the capital of south China's Guangdong Province, on Wednesday morning, local authorities reported. The landslide occurred in Dayuan Village, located in the city's Baiyun District, causing significant damage to multiple houses.

According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 14 people were trapped in the landslide. Rescuers have so far managed to pull seven individuals from the debris, all of whom are reportedly in stable condition. The rescue operations are ongoing, with teams working diligently to locate the remaining missing persons.

Efforts have also been made to ensure the safety of nearby residents, who have been evacuated from the affected area. Authorities are continuing their search and rescue operations to locate the missing individuals and assess further risks in the region.
