Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Monday as the All Share Index gained 14.06 points to reach 8,808.80 points, an increase of 0.16 percent.
According to Qatar News Agency, as many as 556.6 million shares valued at KWD 100.8 million (roughly USD 306.4 million) were traded via 27,168 transactions. The Main Market Index rose by 44.14 points to 8,083.58 points, marking an increase of 0.55 percent, achieved through 421 million shares transacted via 18,563 deals valued at KWD 57.2 million (roughly USD 173.8 million).
The Premier Market Index also saw gains, climbing 7.24 points to reach 9,424.94 points, an increase of 0.08 percent. This was achieved through trading 145.5 million shares in 8,605 transactions valued at KWD 43.5 million (roughly USD 132.2 million).
Meanwhile, the bourse's Main 50 Index increased significantly by 121.22 points to reach 8,319.02 points, a rise of 1.48 percent. This growth was driven by a stock volume of 303.6 million shares conducted in 11,749 deals at a value of KWD 44.9 million (roughly USD 136.4 million).
