Kuwait Bourse Sees Mixed Performance with Overall Decline

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Sunday with the All Share Index losing 30.86 points to reach 8,724.51 points, marking a decrease of 0.35 percent.

According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 283.4 million shares valued at KWD 68.6 million (approximately USD 210.6 million) were traded through 18,429 transactions. The Main Market Index experienced an increase of 17.35 points, reaching 8,705.64 points, a rise of 0.20 percent. This was achieved through trading 180.9 million shares in 11,100 transactions valued at KWD 27.09 million (approximately USD 85.6 million).

Conversely, the Premier Market Index dropped by 42.73 points to settle at 9,181.27 points, a decline of 0.46 percent. This segment saw the trading of 102.4 million shares through 7,329 transactions, amounting to a value of KWD 40.6 million (roughly USD 124.6 million).

In contrast, the Bourse Main 50 Index recorded gains, adding 13.84 points to reach 9,785 points, an increase of 0.14 percent. This index saw a stock volume of 147.2 million shares traded in 8,089 deals at a value of KWD 22.8 million (approximately USD 69.9 million).
