Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Thursday with the All Share Index experiencing a slight decline, losing 0.82 points to reach 8,665.84 points, reflecting a decrease of 0.01 percent.
According to Qatar News Agency, trading activities saw a total of 519.3 million shares valued at KWD 104.4 million (approximately USD 318.4 million) being exchanged through 26,087 transactions. This activity highlights a dynamic trading session despite the overall dip in the All Share Index.
The Main Market Index reported an increase of 70.04 points, bringing it to 7,910.75 points, marking a 0.89 percent rise. This was accomplished through 348 million shares traded via 15,345 transactions, with a total value of KWD 42.7 million (around USD 130.2 million).
Conversely, the Premier Market Index saw a decrease, losing 18.55 points to settle at 9,282.40 points, a decline of 0.20 percent. This was the result of 171.2 million shares changing hands across 10,742 transactions, valued at KWD 61.7 million (approximately USD 188.18 million).
Similarly, the bourse's Main 50 Index experienced an upward movement, increasing by 34.35 points to reach 7,991.27 points, up by 0.43 percent. This was achieved through a stock volume of 208.4 million shares conducted in 8,732 deals, amounting to a value of KWD 32.8 million (around USD 100 million).
