Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Wednesday with the All Share Index dropping 28.49 points to end at 8,380.79 points, reflecting a decrease of 0.34 percent. The trading session saw a total of 579.2 million shares exchanged hands, with a value of KWD 108.4 million, which is approximately USD 355 million, across 30,696 transactions.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Main Market Index showed an upward trend, gaining 51.35 points to reach 7,224.29 points, marking an increase of 0.72 percent. This was achieved with 399.2 million shares traded through 19,570 transactions, amounting to a value of KWD 45.7 million, or roughly USD 149.7 million.
In contrast, the Premier Market Index saw a decline, losing 49.83 points to close at 9,083.47 points, representing a drop of 0.55 percent. The trade volume for this index included 179.9 million shares, executed through 11,126 transactions, with a total value of KWD 62.7 million, equivalent to approximately USD 205.3 million.
Meanwhile, the Main 50 Index experienced a slight increase of 17.30 points, reaching 7,287.76 points, up by 0.24 percent. This was supported by a stock volume of 321.2 million shares, completed in 11,818 deals, with a total value of KWD 32.6 million, or about USD 106.7 million.
