Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Sunday as the All Share Index lost 23.44 points to reach 8,594.39 points, a decrease of 0.27 percent. As many as 332 million shares valued at KWD 68.3 million (roughly USD 208.9 million) were traded via 22,382 transactions.
According to Qatar News Agency, the Main Market Index saw an increase of 42.13 points, reaching 7,655.84 points, an uptick of 0.55 percent. This was achieved through 238.4 million shares exchanged in 16,538 transactions, with a total value of KWD 33.15 million (roughly USD 101.4 million).
In contrast, the Premier Market Index experienced a drop, losing 40.98 points to settle at 9,253.22 points, a decline of 0.44 percent. This segment witnessed the trading of 93.6 million shares in 5,844 transactions, valued at KWD 35.2 million (roughly USD 107.7 million).
Meanwhile, the bourse's Main 50 Index increased by 12.47 points to reach 7,617.14 points, up by 0.16 percent. This was through a stock volume of 168.3 million shares conducted in 8,025 deals, amounting to a value of KWD 20.9 million (roughly USD 63.9 million).
