Kuwait Bourse Closes Lower as All Share Index Slightly Declines

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Monday with the All Share Index losing 1.93 points to settle at 8,622.47 points, marking a decrease of 0.02 percent. The market witnessed a total trading volume of 913.1 million shares valued at KWD 119.6 million, approximately USD 391.5 million, executed through 35,653 transactions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Main Market Index experienced a decline of 20.65 points, reaching 7,342.74 points, which is a decrease of 0.28 percent. This dip occurred with the trading of 743.1 million shares through 25,665 transactions, valued at KWD 60.2 million, roughly USD 197.3 million.

In contrast, the Premier Market Index saw a marginal gain of 2.65 points, closing at 9,367.87, an increase of 0.03 percent. This movement involved 170 million shares traded across 9,988 transactions, with a total value of KWD 59.4 million, approximately USD 194.4 million.

Meanwhile, the Bourse Main 50 Index rose by 31.47 points to reach 7,422.32 points, reflecting an increase of 0.43 percent. This was achieved through the trading of 536.5 million shares in 16,004 deals, valued at KWD 47.2 million, or roughly USD 154.5 million.
