Kuwait Bourse Closes Lower Amid Mixed Performance Across Indices

Kuwait: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Wednesday as the All Share Index lost 6.91 points to reach 8,811.87 points, a decrease of 0.08 percent. As many as 229 million shares valued at KWD 68.2 million (roughly USD 208 million) were traded via 17,906 transactions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Main Market Index experienced a rise, gaining 8.61 points to reach 8,143.81 points, reflecting an increase of 0.11 percent. This was achieved through the trading of 100.2 million shares via 8,600 transactions, with a total value of KWD 20.5 million (approximately USD 62.5 million).

In contrast, the Premier Market Index saw a decline, losing 11.04 points to settle at 9,413.11 points, marking a decrease of 0.12 percent. This was the result of trading 128.7 million shares through 9,306 transactions, with a total value of KWD 47.7 million (roughly USD 145.4 million).

Meanwhile, the bourse's Main 50 Index showed an upward trend, rising by 33.71 points to reach 8,651.43 points, an increase of 0.39 percent. This movement involved a stock volume of 70.07 million shares traded in 5,473 deals, valued at KWD 13.9 million (around USD 42.3 million).
