Kuwait Bourse Closes Lower Amid Mixed Index Performance

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Sunday as the All Share Index lost 19.23 points to reach 8,573.03 points, a decrease of 0.22 percent. As many as 421.3 million shares valued at KWD 72.7 million (roughly USD 237.8 million) were traded via 23,190 transactions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the Main Market Index went up by 32.14 points to reach 7,601.43 points, an increase of 0.42 percent. This movement was achieved through 268.4 million shares executed via 15,993 transactions, with a total value of KWD 33.4 million (roughly USD 109.2 million).

The Premier Market Index experienced a decline, going down by 33.00 points to reach 9,239.07, marking a decrease of 0.36 percent. This was accomplished through the trading of 152.9 million shares in 7,197 transactions, valued at KWD 39.3 million (roughly USD 128.5 million).

Meanwhile, the Main 50 Index showed a positive performance, gaining 80.09 points to reach 7,588.13 points, an increase of 1.07 percent. This was achieved through a stock volume of 179.3 million shares transacted in 8,946 deals at a value of KWD 22.9 million (roughly USD 74.9 million).
