Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Monday as the All Share Index gained 37.50 points to reach 8,372.59 points, an increase of 0.45 percent.
According to Qatar News Agency, the trading session saw 145.9 million shares valued at KWD 48.14 million, approximately USD 147.7 million, exchanged through 15,727 transactions. Despite the overall positive performance, the Main Market Index experienced a slight decline, dropping by 1.32 points to settle at 7,598.80 points, a decrease of 0.02 percent. This movement involved 52.3 million shares traded through 5,390 transactions, with a total value of KWD 9 million, roughly USD 33.3 million.
The Premier Market Index showed positive momentum, gaining 47.80 points to reach 8,971.80 points, marking an increase of 0.54 percent. This rise came through the trading of 93.5 million shares in 10,337 transactions, valued at KWD 39 million (around USD 119.7 million).
Additionally, the Main 50 Index rose by 45.94 points to close at 7,908.32 points, an increase of 0.58 percent. This index saw a stock volume of 45.3 million shares traded in 4,057 deals, amounting to a value of KWD 7.5 million, or approximately USD 23 million.
