Kuwait Bourse Closes Higher Driven by Gains in Premier Market

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Wednesday as the All Share Index gained 25.19 points to reach 8,814.12 points, marking an increase of 0.29 percent.

According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 448.16 million shares valued at KWD 102.2 million (approximately USD 368 million) were traded through 24,115 transactions. The Main Market Index decreased by 27.34 points, closing at 8,286.26 points, representing a decline of 0.33 percent. This was achieved through 241.3 million shares traded in 13,859 transactions, with a total value of KWD 34.3 million (around USD 105 million).

The Premier Market Index, however, saw an increase of 39.54 points, reaching 9,381.36 points, up by 0.42 percent. This increase was driven by 206.7 million shares traded across 10,256 transactions, with a total value of KWD 67.8 million (approximately USD 207.4 million).

Meanwhile, the Main 50 Index recorded an increase of 9.21 points, reaching 8,414.25 points, up by 0.11 percent. This was achieved through a stock volume of 98.6 million shares traded in 6,494 deals, amounting to a value of KWD 20.3 million (roughly USD 62.11 million).
