Kuwait Bourse Closes Higher Amid Mixed Index Performances

Kuwait city: Kuwait Bourse closed trading on Thursday as the All Share Index gained 8.03 points to reach 8,697.38 points, an increase of 0.09 percent.

According to Qatar News Agency, a total of 480.4 million shares valued at KWD 92.3 million (roughly USD 281.5 million) were traded via 25,708 transactions. Despite the overall increase, the Main Market Index saw a decrease of 26.69 points, settling at 7,752.85 points, marking a 0.34 percent decline, through 324.3 million shares traded via 17,197 transactions valued at KWD 41.6 million (roughly USD 126.8 million).

The Premier Market Index, however, showed a positive trend, gaining 17.09 points to reach 9,362.74 points, up by 0.18 percent. This performance was supported by the trading of 156 million shares conducted through 8,511 transactions, with a total value of KWD 50.7 million (roughly USD 154.6 million).

Meanwhile, the Main 50 Index experienced a decline of 31.92 points, closing at 7,786.18 points, down by 0.41 percent. This index recorded a trading volume of 274 million shares executed in 11,524 deals, amounting to a value of KWD 33.3 million (roughly USD 101.5 million).
