Kremlin Highlights Positive Russia-US Talks


Alaska: The Kremlin today highlighted the summit between Russian President Vladimir Putin and his US counterpart Donald Trump in Alaska, describing it as positive. Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov, commenting on the summit, said that President Vladimir Putin and President Donald Trump described their meeting in Alaska as very positive, stressing that the bilateral talks allowed the two leaders to remain confident in their joint search for solutions to the Ukrainian crisis.



According to Qatar News Agency, he said that although no concrete results were announced at the joint press conference, the two presidents delivered comprehensive statements, noting that this was the reason no questions were taken from journalists who covered the event following the talks.



The two presidents, Putin and Trump, had described their summit as highly productive, saying it marked the beginning of several understandings on a number of issues, foremost among them the war in Ukraine.
