Kremlin Hails Russian-American Talks as Constructive, Beneficial

Moscow: Aide to the Russian President Yuri Ushakov described the discussions held Wednesday at the Kremlin between President Vladimir Putin and the special envoy of the U.S. President Steve Witkoff, as beneficial and constructive. Speaking to the press, Ushakov stated that the Russian president received this morning the special envoy of the American president, and the two engaged in highly useful and constructive talks.

According to Qatar News Agency, the conversation covered the crisis in Ukraine and prospects for advancing strategic cooperation between Russia and the United States. Ushakov noted that their president has full access to the relevant signals from both sides, including those from President Trump. However, he mentioned that Trump has not yet been briefed on the outcome of this meeting, so he will refrain from providing detailed comments for now.

Ushakov concluded that they will see when Witkoff can relay the results of the talks to Trump. After that, they will be in a position to offer more substantial details.
