Kazakhstan Cultural Week Ends Successfully in Umm Salal

Umm salal: The Ministry of Culture on Saturday concluded the Kazakhstan Cultural Week, organized in collaboration with its Kazakh counterpart, held from Feb. 4-7 at its Darb Al Saai permanent venue in Umm Salal.

According to Qatar News Agency, the event garnered significant attention and interaction, serving as an extension of a consistent cultural pathway that aligns with the State of Qatar's vision to enhance civilizational dialogue and broaden cultural exchange with countries worldwide.

Director of the International Cooperation Department at the Ministry of Culture, Nasser Al Maliki, highlighted that the event successfully built strong cultural ties between Qatar and Kazakhstan, providing the public in Qatar an opportunity to explore the rich Kazakh artistic and civilizational heritage.

This cultural week is part of a series of successful events hosted by Doha since 2024, featuring countries like Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, and Kyrgyzstan, with future plans including events in Saudi Arabia, Iran, Egypt, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Tajikistan, and Russia.

HE Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan to Qatar, Arman Issagaliyev, expressed his satisfaction with the event, noting the participation of over 200 artists showcasing Kazakh heritage and emphasizing the historic and cultural connections between the two nations.

The week featured a variety of activities representing Kazakh culture, including traditional fashion shows, musical evenings, visual arts, exhibitions of handicrafts and antique carpets, and live experiences of Kazakh cuisine.

The conclusion of the event underscores the success of the cultural weeks initiative, which aims to enrich the domestic cultural scene and promote humanitarian heritage diversity, reinforcing Qatar's position as a global hub for cultural exchange and creativity.
