Doha: To mark the 34th edition of the Doha International Book Fair (DIBF), Katara Publishing House on Saturday launched the book 'About Family Righteousness I Speak' by researcher Fatima Al Mohammedi.
According to Qatar News Agency, in her presentation, Al Mohammedi emphasized that the book does not seek to explore new ideas but rather reveals the foundational principles and values by which individuals ought to live. It is not a rigid manual, she noted, but an invitation to reflect, an effort to reexamine the realities individuals inhabit and to revisit the conceptual frameworks upon which they build their relationships.
Each chapter in the book highlights sensitive and critical stages in the journey of family life and reconsiders pervasive social notions that are often experienced unconsciously, in order to be understood and lived with greater awareness and maturity, Al Mohammedi noted.
Al Mohammedi underlined that the book stems from a profound belief that the family is the bedrock in shaping the human soul, as virtuous individuals do not emerge by coincidence. Rather, it begins with the awareness of the father and mother prior to marriage.
She elucidated that her work addresses the journey of building a family from its earliest foundations: from the concept of marriage, preparation for it, and partner selection, to the first year of marriage and its attendant challenges, followed by the decision to have children, parenting, and finally, the subject of divorce as a reality that must not be ignored.
