Doha:The 11th General Assembly of the Global Public Diplomacy Network (GPDNet) is set to convene in Doha on Monday, with representatives from 29 member countries gathering to discuss the advancement of the network's work. The assembly aims to expand international cooperation and enhance the role of public diplomacy, culture, and soft power in fostering people-to-people connections and understanding.

According to Qatar News Agency, Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti, General Manager of Katara Cultural Village and President of GPDNet, emphasized that hosting the assembly underscores Katara's commitment to supporting international collaboration. He noted that the event provides an opportunity to evaluate achievements, exchange ideas on network operations, explore cooperation prospects, and implement initiatives with lasting impact.

Dr. Al Sulaiti further highlighted that Katara was nominated for a third term as head of the network last year, acknowledging its contributions over the previous terms in developing the network and enhancing its global presence.
