Doha: The Cultural Village Foundation - Katara on Wednesday signed a cooperation agreement with the National Archives of Qatar, aiming to enhance documentation efforts, preserve national identity, and develop joint projects to raise awareness about the importance of historical documentation.
According to Qatar News Agency, the agreement was signed by Cultural Village Foundation - Katara General Manager Professor Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti and National Archives of Qatar Secretary-General Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Al Buainain. The signing ceremony was attended by several officials and experts in the cultural and archival fields.
In his speech, Professor Dr. Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti emphasized that the agreement aligns with Katara's efforts to strengthen cooperation between cultural and national institutions. He noted that documenting history and preserving records are essential elements in safeguarding national identity and transferring knowledge to future generations. In turn, the National Archives of Qatar Secretary-General Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Al Buainain expressed appreciation for the collaboration with Katara, noting that the agreement reflects a shared commitment to preserve Qatar's documentary legacy. He stated that this partnership serves as an effective model of collaboration between national institutions, enhancing the exchange of expertise and knowledge.
