Justice Minister Appoints New Members to Attorney Admission Committee

Doha: HE Minister of Justice and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Ibrahim bin Ali Al Mohannadi on Tuesday issued a decision appointing the Deputy Chairman and members of the Attorney Admission Committee. The decision outlines various key appointments within the committee, which are expected to steer the future of legal admissions.

According to Qatar News Agency, the decision stipulates the appointment of the Assistant Undersecretary for Legal Affairs at the Ministry of Justice (MoJ) as the Ministry's representative and Deputy Chair of the Committee. Additionally, the Director of the Lawyers Affairs Department will serve as the Ministry's representative, member, and Secretary of the Committee.

Furthermore, the appointments include Abdullah Mahmoud Al Salem Al Amri and Mohsen Mahmoud Mustafa Al Qadi as Presidents at the Court of Appeal. Mohammed Rashid Al Binali will join as Public Prosecutor at the Public Prosecution, and Lawyers Mubarak Abdullah Al Sulaiti, Sheikh Dr. Thani bin Ali bin Saud Al-Thani, and Mohammed Lahdan Mohammed Al Hassan Al Mahdi will serve as members of the Committee.

HE the Minister of Justice extended his congratulations to the Chairman of the Attorney Admission Committee and its new members, wishing them success in their roles. He underscored the committee's critical role in regulating and promoting the legal profession, suggesting that this new reshuffle will aid in advancing the justice system. The changes are anticipated to enhance the efficiency of legal practitioners and deepen the principles of justice and the rule of law.
