Amman: Jordan's King Abdullah II affirmed his country's full support for Lebanon in strengthening its security and preserving its sovereignty. During his meeting with Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam, the King highlighted the importance of expanding cooperation between Jordan and Lebanon in various fields, particularly economic ones.
According to Qatar News Agency, the King also addressed the situation in Syria, emphasizing that Syria's security and stability are a shared priority. He noted Jordan's support for the efforts of its Syrian brothers to preserve their country's stability, sovereignty, and the safety of its citizens.
Regarding developments in the region, King Abdullah II reiterated the need for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and called for increased humanitarian aid to alleviate the suffering of the people. He also expressed Jordan's categorical rejection of Israel's plans to expand its influence in the West Bank and the region.
