Jordan’s King and Pakistani PM Focus on Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation

Islamabad: King Abdullah II of Jordan met with Pakistani Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif in Islamabad to discuss reinforcing bilateral cooperation in multiple sectors including commerce, economy, investment, tourism, education, technology, and defense. The meeting underscored the commitment of both nations to deepen their partnership and explore new avenues for collaboration.

According to Qatar News Agency, King Abdullah emphasized the significance of maintaining coordination and cooperation both at the bilateral level and with other friendly nations. The discussions aimed at bolstering efforts to achieve peace and stability in the Middle East. King Abdullah reiterated the importance of adhering to agreements to end conflicts and ensure the provision of humanitarian aid.

Additionally, King Abdullah highlighted the necessity of halting unilateral actions against Palestinians in the West Bank, particularly those involving settlement expansion and land annexation. He also expressed concern over the assaults on Islamic and Christian sacred sites in Jerusalem, urging for measures to protect these sites.
