Jordan’s Industrial Producer Prices Decline Over Seven Months

Amman: Jordan's general producer price index for industrial products declined by 0.55% during the first seven months of 2025 compared to the same period in 2024, according to a report from the Jordanian Department of Statistics.

According to Qatar News Agency, the index for July 2025 dropped 0.88% compared to July 2024, despite a slight monthly increase of 0.19% from June 2025.

The cumulative index reached 106.80 points by the end of July 2025, down from 107.39 points in the same period last year. On a monthly basis, July 2025 recorded 106.74 points compared to 107.68 points in July 2024 and 106.53 points in June 2025.

The decline is mainly attributed to a 0.76% decrease in prices of manufacturing industries, which hold the largest weight in the index at 88.74%. Conversely, prices in the 'extractive industries' rose by 1.36%, and electricity prices increased by 0.88%.
